The event continues Saturday with pumpkin painting, a pumpkin chunkin’ event, the costume carnival and contest and a Halloween can toss. Sussex County Halloween Weekend at Massey’s Landing Kicking off Halloween weekend at Massey’s Landing is the s’mores social at 5 p.m., followed by a movie premiere at 7 p.m. There will be a costume contest with prizes for the funniest, scariest and most original costumes, along with a live performance by You Do You and even a beer release special to the event. There will also be an adult Halloween party on October 31st. After the race, all runners will meet at Midnight Oil Brewing for a spooky good time. Held by Fusion Racing, the October 30 event directs proceeds to the Friends of Fusion Foundation, a nonprofit providing immediate assistance for children and first responders in Delaware. Park Dr., Wilmington 571-7747 Boo & Brew 5K Midnight Oil Brewing Company brings Halloween costumes and running together this year with its Boo & Brew 5K. Tickets will be available at the door for $7 per person, but online purchase is recommended. Each kid will receive a treat bag to take home with them.
